This is great! This allows use podman locally without having to enable an unnecessary service. docker and podman are needed so often that it makes sense to deliver it to everyone at once. Moreover, podman-remote in this package https://github.com/flathub/com.visualstudio.code.tool.podman is often needed but it seems to me that this is too small a thing to allocate a separate package for it.

Hello, I didn't notice your PR previously but I just made a PR that does something similar.

It works a bit differently and uses either docker or podman based on what the host system has installed.
Mentioning this here to help the mods/admins organize everything.
